The sweeter side of Sunday morning coming down can be felt all over The Dinah Brand's second album.

As befits a band that left a gap of seven years between debut and follow-up, these members of Pet Lamb, Jackbeast, Legion of Two and The Stars of Heaven take things slow on 'I Can Walk Through', and the record's de-stress properties are considerable. So, too, are the quartet's abilities to mix up the beautifully melodic and the quirky, find space for trombones and keyboards and have you smiling or sighing with the tender lyric or harsh word.

There's an all-too-rare glow in hearing old hands making music just for the sheer pleasure of it, and the standouts 'Vampires Trapped in Time' and 'Pete' make you wish they'd make more of it more often.
