With the onslaught of new albums every week, the biggest often overshadow the best. It would be a pity of gave-away-my-vinyl-copy-of-'Thieves Like Us' proportions if the same thing was to happen here.

Three years on from their debut 'Dramanalog', everything sparkles that bit more from Halfset - the melodies grab you tighter and the warmth you feel lasts longer.

Those in need of gloom antidotes will find plenty, among them 'At This Moment', the swirling opener, and 'Work', a keyboard-driven high that can reframe the daily grind of its title.

Throughout the quartet's fine tuning of their classical sense says that every new song they write will make them that bit more unique. They're very special already.
