Future Pilot AKA is the sublime sideline of Sushil K Dade, one time Soup Dragon and now full-time driving instructor. 'Tiny Waves, Mighty Sea' is his third album (following pairings with DJ Andy Weatherall and jazz outsider Bill Wells) and finds him diving heart first into blissed-up and chilled-out dynamics. Flanked by friends from Teenage Fanclub, The Pastels and Belle & Sebastian, his sound is an enchanting mix of choral spaciness, 60's keyboards and low-key guitars, all relayed through amps facing east.

'Maid Of The Loch' spellbinds with French movie theme whimsy, 'Darshan Returns' sounds like Lloyd Cole's 'Rattlesnakes' after an Indian makeover while 'Radhika' could close any night or bar in style. This is an all star album, but through it all, Dade's burns the brightest. Do give up the day job.
