If you're looking for a funny, feel-good film, this one delivers.

Delivery Man is a direct remake of 2011's French-Canadian film Starbuck and has been made by Starbuck's original director and writer Ken Scott.

The film tells the story of David Wozniak, a man who finds out that he has fathered 533 children through sperm donations made in his youth. A number of his children are involved in a lawsuit to discover their biological father, who they know only by an alias, 'Starbuck'. David's own life is a bit of a mess: his girlfriend thinks he's too immature, he's in debt to some loan sharks and his family see him as a failure. But as he begins to find out more about his biological children, we see a whole other side to David and it becomes a truly heart-warming film.

Vince Vaughn has been playing the funny, loveable guy's guy for as long as I can remember and his role as David is just that. Sure, he might be a bit immature and irresponsible with money and we can totally understand why his girlfriend Emma, played by How I Met Your Mother's Cobie Smulders, doesn't think he's father material. But he's a good guy with a good heart and is just plain likeable.

Not just a straight-up comedy, Delivery Man deals with real issues in society as David meets his many children, but the comedic element balances the film out and stops it from becoming too heavy. And while issues such as drug abuse, disability and identity are addressed, the plot doesn't get bogged down in the serious stuff. Chris Pratt as David's lawyer friend provides some of the best laughs with his take on fatherhood and without him the film would definitely suffer.

Simon Delaney, a household name here in Ireland, makes his big screen debut in America with Delivery Man, and rising Irish star, What Richard Did's Jack Reynor also appears in the film, each actor playing their roles with heart and conviction. For Reynor, playing the struggling actor shouldn't be too much of a push, but his screen presence, even in this small role, is commendable.

While Delivery Man won't be joining in the awards season buzz, it's a well-executed film with a good cast and sweet storyline, and is definitely one for all the family.
