A pro-am melting pot this one, as staff and students from Ramsgrange Community School in Co Wexford join friends, family and local chefs in sharing what's plated up in the homes and eateries of the south-east.

Whether it's a dinner party (Hot Avocado with Prawns, Calypso Mochaccinos), a Sunday sitdown (Slow Roast Pork Belly with Apple Cider Sauce, Spiced Country Chicken) or a 'round the fire treat (Tea Bread, Sundried Tomato Tapenade), there's plenty of home-cooked and baked wisdom, while the restaurants section criss-crosses countries with starters, mains and desserts including Wexford Scallops with Black Pudding, Chicken Jalfrezi, and Warm Chocolate Torte. There's also wine advice for the red or white befuddled, with local food suppliers getting a good push at the front.

All proceeds go to the school; other communities and bright young things should invest in a copy for some ring-bound inspiration - it's amazing what you can do when you roll up your sleeves.
