Rick Parashar, the producer who worked with Pearl Jam on their seminal debut album Ten and with Alice in Chains on their classic EP Sap, has died at the age of 50.
Northwest Music Scene reports that Parashar passed away at his Seattle home on August 14 from a blood clot that had travelled up his leg to his heart.
Parashar played on the Pearl Jam songs Black and Jeremy from Ten and also produced and played on the Pearl Jam-Soundgarden collaboration album Temple of the Dog.
Among his other production credits were Bon Jovi, Blind Melon, Melissa Etheridge and Nickelback.
