Nicki Minaj has bettered the legendary Michael Jackson's US record for the most Billboard Hot 100 hits.
Minaj's latest single Anaconda has entered at number 19, giving the diminuitive rapper her 51st Hot 100 hit, beating Jackson's previous record total of 50.
But where all of Jackson's 50 Hot 100 hits feature him as the lead or co-lead, only 20 of Minaj's 51 singles have her as the lead artist, with the remaining 31 featuring her as a guest.
Minaj made her US chart debut in February 2010 when she featured on Lil Wayne's Knockout, while her first in her own right came four months later with Your Love.
Jackson's guest appearances on records are not included in his tally as he didn't take a credit for his appearances on Rockwell's Somebody's Watching Me or Diana Ross's Eaten Alive.
Earlier this year the late star's posthumous releases Slave to the Rhythm and Love Never Felt So Good became his 49th and 50th Hot 100 hits.
