Pro-wrestler and martial arts expert Dave Bautista found it difficult to make the transition from the ring to appearing on the big screen in sci-fi romp Guardians of The Galaxy.

The 45-year-old star says that people also found it hard to take him seriously. Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Bautista, who plays Drax the Destroyer in the new blockbuster, said that he thinks Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnston was an exception to the wresting/acting rule.

"I don't think he paved the way for any wrestlers to move into film. It was hard for me. I couldn't get an agent. I think Dwayne is an exception.''

He added that he thinks he will struggle to get diverse roles in the future.

''It is hard getting auditions because people have slapped a label on me from WWE. It is kind of rough when you want to pursue more dramatic roles and not be an action star.''
