Continuing rumours that Adele will release her long-awaited new album and undertake a world tour next year have been denied by her record label boss.

Martin Mills of Beggars Group in the UK says there is "no truth" in the speculation, which began after the World Music Awards posted a tweet which has since been deleted.

The original tweet read: "#adele confirms 2015 Tour After The Release Of Her New Album '25'!"

Adele's second album 21 was released in January 2011 and is the biggest-selling album of the 21st century, having sold over 25 million copies. In 2011, it spent nine weeks at No 1 in Ireland.

Earlier this year, Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic claimed that he was working on a new Adele album. Phil Collins previously claimed he was writing songs with the London singer while rapper Wiz Khalifa also claimed that a collaboration he recorded with Adele for his next album has been scrapped.
