Rock star and occasional actress Courtney Love is to star in US show Sons of Anarchy's final season.
TV Line reports that the 49-year-old singer will appear in the seventh season of the gritty FX biker drama in multiple episodes and in a pivotal role.
Love will play Ms Harrison, the straight-talking pre-school teacher of Jax's eldest son, Abel. She will debut in episode four.
The role will be Love's first acting role in terms of TV drama. She’s performed in several films over the decades, most notably as Larry Flynt's wife in Miloš Forman's 1996 biopic The People vs Larry Flynt.
Last week, it was confirmed that Walton Goggins will return to Sons of Anarchy for the show's seventh and final season.
The actor, who also stars in Justified, will reprise his role as transgender prostitute Venus Van Dam.
Sons of Anarchy is expected to return to FX in the USA in September and will follow on RTÉ Two.
