Chris O'Dowd lost out to Bryan Cranston at Sunday night's Tony Awards in New York, with the Breaking Bad star taking home the Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Play award.

O'Dowd was nominated for his role in Of Mice and Men, while the victorious Cranston stars in All The Way.

How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris took home the Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical award for his work in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, with the show also taking home the gong for Best Revival of a Musical.

Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan lost out on the Best Revival of a Play award, with A Raisin in the Sun coming out on top.

Irish actress Sarah Greene, who stars in McDonagh's play, also lost out on the Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play award to A Raisin in the Sun's Sophie Okonedo.
