Runner-up on The Voice US Michelle Chamuel is coming to Ireland later this month for a series of shows with master Irish and US musicians as the Atlantic I/O collective.

Chamuel will be joined at Atlantic I/O gigs in Dublin (Sugar Club, May 22), Limerick (Dolan's, May 23), Galway (Monroe's, May 24) and Drogheda (Droichead Arts Centre, May 25) by trad-meets-rock band the olllam, concertina player Pádraig Rynne and violinist Jeremy Kittel for "a refreshing dive into the Irish Tradition, via electronica, jazz, pop and funk".

Atlantic I/O will rework tracks from each artist, with Rynne explaining: "We have chosen three popular tracks from my album Notify and through the creative expression and vision of the artists these pieces will be re-imagined into new instrumentations.

"We will also be taking some traditional pieces and immersing them in jazz, electronica and rock - all the time pushing into genre-busting realms."
