Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain helped new World Snooker Champion Mark Selby celebrate his victory in Sheffield on Monday night.

Blabbermouth.net reports that McBrain on drums and Selby on vocals joined Manchester band Mancini Fires onstage at Sheffield's Mercure Hotel.

Among the tracks they covered were REM's Losing My Religion, The Monkees' I'm a Believer, Mr Bojangles and Kings of Leon's Sex on Fire.

McBrain had been in the audience for Selby's victory over Ronnie O'Sullivan at the Crucible in Sheffield on Monday.
