Justin Bieber was allegedly detained at Los Angeles International Airport while trying to re-enter the United States.

E! News reports that eye-witnesses said that Bieber was yesterday (April 24) pulled aside by US immigration officials after disembarking from an Air Singapore flight from Tokyo.

It’s further reported that Bieber apparently faced hours of questioning from officials before he was allowed to leave the airport, although it is not yet known why he was allegedly detained.

Representatives for the Canadian singer have so far issued no comment on the matter.

The 20-year-old is currently facing two potential legal cases for suspicion of driving under the influence in Miami and suspicion of assault on a limousine driver in Toronto.

Earlier this week, Bieber was forced to apologise for sharing pictures on Instagram of his visit to a controversial war criminals shrine in Tokyo.
