Terrence Howard has joined the cast of the upcoming Vince Vaughn thriller Term Life.
Vaughn stars as a father who goes on the run from the mob long enough for his estranged daughter (Hailee Steinfeld) to cash a life insurance policy.
Howard will play a small town sheriff who encounters Vaughn's character while he is evading the dangerous criminals.
Peter Billingsley (Couples Retreat) is directing the movie, which is an adaptation of AJ Lieberman's graphic novel. Lieberman adapted the script for the film with Nick Thornborrow.
Jonathan Banks, who is best known for playing Mike Ehrmantraut in Breaking Bad, will also have a supporting role in Term Life.
According to Deadline, filming is already underway and is expected to wrap later this month, with a slated 2015 premiere.
Howard can currently be seen in Sabotage opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger.
