Davina McCall has said that taking part in a gruelling Sport Relief challenge last month left her "traumatised".

The challenge involved cycling, swimming and running 500 miles from Edinburgh down through Scotland, into England to the finishing line in London.

"I've never cried so much," The Jump presenter told Jonathan Ross on his ITV chat show last night.

The 46-year-old added: "But actually I look back on it and it wasn't a bad thing. I was so exhausted, so physically and mentally drained, that I didn't have the normal barriers I would have to stop myself."

She added: "People keep going, ‘was it the worst thing you’ve ever done?’ It was the worst and the best all rolled into one.”
