RTÉ presenter Evelyn O'Rourke was on The Late Late Show last night to launch her new book, Dear Ross, based on her inspiring true story.
Dear Ross recounts O'Rourke's discovery, when her first baby was just six-months-old, that she was pregnant once again however she then found out she had cancer.
In the book the broadcaster charts her journey from the realisation that she would have to face invasive surgery while also protect her unborn child.
"People ask me all the time how I coped with the situation we were landed in", she said, " … But unlike most patients I had a secret weapon. I had a tiny beating heart in my womb that willed me on. My baby Ross."
Tweeting last night after telling Ryan Tubridy all about her story and the new book, O'Rourke wrote (@evelyn_orourke): "Just home from a big night at #latelate and Ross is sound asleep in his cot oblivious to all. Thanks for all the amazing comments #dearross"
Dear Ross is published by Hachette Books Ireland. Watch last night's The Late Late Show on the RTÉ Player.
