Anchorman 3 director Adam McKay has ruled out a third outing from the popular comedy film franchise.

Speaking to Empire, the 45-year-old insisted that he is ready to move on from Ron Burgundy and the gang, saying: "It's done. I think that's it. It was great to do it and it was so fun to work with those guys again, but I think that's it for Ron Burgundy."

McKay further admitted that he won't be changing his mind about his decision, adding: "I'm going to say definitely no [to changing my mind]. I'll actually say it in this case."

Adam is currently working on a remake of the 1970s comedy, Uptown Saturday Night, with Will Smith.
