Game of Thrones star Michelle Fairley has joined the cast of 24: Live Another Day

The actress, who plays Catelyn Stark in the HBO fantasy series, has replaced Judy Davis on the upcoming Fox show.

According to TV Line, Davis had to drop out of the project due to personal reasons.

Fairly will now play Margot, a British widow of a notorious terrorist in the 12-episode sequel.

Stephen Fry has also recently been added to the growing cast of 24: Live Another Day, he is set to play the fictional British Prime Minister Trevor Davies.

The limited run series will see Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) as an international fugitive on the run in London.

Series veterans Mary Lynn Rajskub and Kim Raver will reprise their roles as Chloe O'Brian and Audrey Raines respectively, while Tate Donovan, Benjamin Bratt and Yvonne Strahovski will be making their debut on the show.

24: Live Another Day will premiere in the States on May 5.
