The RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra is joining forces with the Abbey Theatre for Shakespeare in Music, which takes place at the Abbey on Sunday December 15.

The two festive performances mark the first time the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra has performed on the Abbey Stage and will see the orchestra perform excerpts from orchestral works inspired by Shakespeare.

The music will include Debussy's King Lear, Berlioz' Romeo and Juliet, Sibelius' The Tempest, Walton's Henry V and Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

The performances take place on Sunday December 15 at 3pm and 5pm, with tickets priced from €18 to €30 (concessions €15 to €23).
