Good news for Inbetweeners fans, the sequel to the 2011 comedy will begin filming in Australia this week.

Speaking about the next big-screen instalment of the hit TV show about the ups and downs but mostly downs of four young friends, creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley said: "We can't say too much as we don't want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas.

"Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon providing they're let into the country. Thanks so much for all your support, we're hoping to deliver a film that you'll enjoy even more than the last one."

Morris and Beesley will direct the sequel while Spencer Millman will produce. The Inbetweeners 2 is expected in Irish cinemas next August.
