Ted star Mark Wahlberg has signed on to produce a new movie about Julius Caesar.

The 42-year-old actor-and-producer and his producing partner Stephen Levinson have agreed to make The Roman, which will be an origin tale focusing on the Roman ruler as a sprightly young army general, long before his move into politics, according to Deadline.

The film will tell the story of how Caesar and his men were kidnapped and enslaved by Cilician pirates, only to fight their way to freedom.

Wahlberg can next be seen in Transformers: Age of Extinction and will soon begin filming a sequel to hit comedy, Ted.
