Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood has said he is "feeling great" after undergoing a hip replacement on Sunday.

Revel Horwood, who is expected back on the BBC One show at the weekend, wrote on Twitter: "Shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am titanium."

He continued: "Hip op done and have stood for the first time now for the walking bit - feeling great though."

Revel Horwood recently spoke of how years of dancing had impacted on his body.

"It's all those years of can-cans and dropping in the splits," he told BBC Breakfast.

"The problem is, of course, it's like all sports injuries. Sportsmen and women need hip replacements. It was all those years of classical ballet and forcing turn-outs. It can be quite detrimental to your body," he added.
