Game of Thrones favourite Peter Dinklage has been attached to star in a new comedy for Paramount.

According to The Hollywood Reporter the actor, who plays Tyrion Lanister in the hugely popular HBO fantasy series, will play the lead role in the untitled comedy that will be penned by Bad Words writer Andrew Dodge.

The project is being described as being in "R-rated territory but wrapped around an emotional heart".

Sources report that it will play off Dinklage's size, as the story focuses on a man who tells people he is a real life leprechaun.

Dinklage is currently shooting the fourth season of Game of Thrones and he recently wrapped production on next year’s X-Men sequel Days of Future Past.
