It has been announced that four Eastenders characters are set to leave the soap early next year.
Kirsty Branning (Kierston Wareing), AJ Ahmed (Phaldut Sharma), Carl White (Daniel Coonan) and Poppy Meadow (Rachel Bright) are all set to leave the Square next year. The four actors will shoot their final scenes before Christmas.
The Sun reports that the cuts have been made by new boss Dominic Treadwell-Collins in a bid to return to soap to its best.
Two new additions to the cast have recently been announced with Terry Alderton coming on board as Bianca Butcher’s new boyfriend and Luisa Bradshaw-White joining as Shirley Carter’s sister.
A spokesman for the programme said "We can confirm these actors will be leaving EastEnders. We wish them all the best."
