Katherine Kelly, who played Becky McDonald on Coronation Street, has said she does not miss the role.
The actress recently ruled out a cameo on the soap with the upcoming departure of Hayley Cropper but told the Daily Mail that she will “never say never” about returning to the drama.
She said: "I can't imagine it'd be in the near future. It's not like I could go back while doing Mr Selfridge - what would I do with my hair? It'd take three goes to get it blonde and I'd need to be tanned. Logistically, it wouldn't work."
She starred on Coronation Street for six years and said "I miss everyone on Coronation Street but I don't miss playing Becky.
"The work schedule was gruelling but it's the greatest training ground and I had such a fun time. I class Simon Gregson [Steve McDonald], Julie Hesmondhalgh [Hayley] and David Neilson [Roy Cropper] as my best friends and see them all the time."
Kelly married Ryan Clarke in Las Vegas recently and announced that she is pregnant with their first child.
She said of the new series of the popular ITV drama, Mr Selfridge “The next series of Mr Selfridge has moved on five years. It's 1914 now and the war is brewing," said Kelly. "Halfway through the series, some of the Selfridges staff have to go off to fight so they get women in to do the men's jobs.
"Last series Selfridges was her red carpet and she threw great parties at her house. Now you see her quite vulnerable at home and hitting financial problems."
