An extended version of One Direction's debut movie, This Is Us, will hit cinemas this weekend.

This Is Us was an instant hit when it hit cinemas on August 13, pulling in more than €45 million in ticket sales around the world.

It has now been announced by Sony Pictures, the studio behind the Morgan Spurlock directed film, that a brand new cut, featuring extra footage, will be released in cinemas this Friday.

The new version of the movie will also feature four extra songs from the band's concerts.

Jeff Blake, marketing chairman for Sony Pictures, says, "We're overwhelmed by the response to the film, so we're thrilled to be able to release this extended cut for One Direction fans."
