Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Natalie Lowe has been force to pull out of this year’s series due to injury.

The Australian dancer is reported to have fractured her foot during training and she is set to be replaced by past pro dancer Aliona Vilani.

Speaking to The Sun she said "Not being able to compete with a celebrity partner is so hard.

"But this series is going to blow everyone away and I cannot wait to get my feet back on the dance floor." The dancer is hoping to appear in the show later in the series and in the Christmas special.

Vilani said "My heart goes out to Natalie. I wish her a speedy recovery."

Strictly returns this Saturday to BBC One when the professional dancers will pair up with their celebrities. The full series returns later this month.
