Katherine Heigl is eyeing a return to TV, three years after her departure from hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
The 34-year-old actress has plans to produce a new political spy drama centred on America's Central Intelligence Agency, in which she will star as the President's adviser. Heigl is currently pitching the idea to network bosses in a bid to make her return to the small screen.
Heigl left Grey's Anatomy in 2010 after playing Dr. Izzie Stevens – a role that won her a Primetime Emmy Award in 2007 - for five years.
She has since starred in movies such as Knocked Up, Life As We Know It and The Ugly Truth.
