American country singer and actor Randy Travis remains in a critical condition after emergency surgery following a stroke.
The 54-year-old star’s health took a turn for the worse on Wednesday (Jul 11) when he suffered a stroked and surgeons had to perform emergency surgery to relieve pressure on his brain.
In an email sent to news agency Reuters on Thursday (Jul 11), Travis' spokesperson Kirt Webster wrote, "He is out of surgery and remains in critical condition."
Travis’ rep had earlier explained that the stroke was a "complication of his congestive heart failure".
