Live Confederations Cup Football, 7.30pm, RTÉ Two

Coverage of the Group A encounters, as all four teams play their second match of the competition, beginning with Brazil v Mexico (Kick-off 8.00pm). The hosts are the holders and record three-time winners of this tournament, while Mexico lifted the trophy in 1999. Darragh Maloney presents, with analysis from Richie Sadlier and Ronnie Whelan, and commentary by George Hamilton and Ray Houghton. Later at 10.45pm there’s live coverage of Italy v Japan (Kick-off 11.00pm), with the Italians firm favourites to get three points.

Hollywood Me, 8.00pm, Channel 4

In this brand new series interior designer to the stars Martyn Lawrence Bullard sends unsuspecting Britons to Los Angeles for a surprise makeover, while secretly giving their homes the Hollywood treatment. In this opening encounter, hard-working mother Emily Bates embarks on shopping sprees and beauty treatments with Sharon Osbourne in Tinseltown, and she’s blissfully unaware that Martyn and his team are busy transforming her house in Peterborough. Sounds more like a job for Neville Knott...

All Star Mr & Mrs, 8.00pm, UTV

This game show seems to have been on TV for ever, and is currently hosted by the always engaging Phillip Schofield. In this week’s special, there’s an Irish angle as comedian Ed Byrne and his wife Claire are one of the three couples involved. The other couples competing are actress and TV presenter Angela Griffin and her husband Jason, and queen of clean Kim Woodburn and her spouse Peter. The winning pair get the chance to win cash for their chosen charity.
