CBS has added another comedy series to its slate for next season with Dawson Creek’s James Van Der Beek set to star in Friends With Better Lives.

The show will be produced by former Friends boss Dana Klein and centres on a group of thirtysomething friends who each think the other has it better, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The show will feature alongside Van Der Beek, Entourage star Kevin Connolly and Brooklyn Decker.

This comedy is the fifth new comedy for the network that is preparing to wave goodbye to the long running How I Met Your Mother after one final season.
