Giovanni Ribisi has been cast in the forthcoming Fox comedy Dads.

The actor will co-lead the project alongside Seth Green, Deadline reports.

Ribisi replaces Tommy Dewey in the sitcom, after the taping of the pilot episode was completed last week.

Green and Ribisi will play two successful 30-somethings Eli and Warner in the comedy show, whose lives are turned upside down when their nightmare fathers (Peter Riegert and Martin Mull) suddenly move in with them.

The project is being developed by Ted writers Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild and executive producer Seth MacFarlane.

Ribisi previously appeared as a stalker in MacFarlane's Ted and will also star in his upcoming Western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West.
