Former Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria's new project Mother Up has been picked up by US TV and video provider Hulu.

Longoria acts as an executive producer for the animated comedy, as well as voicing the show's main character, Rudi Wilson.

The 13-episode series revolves around "a disgraced former record executive who moves to the suburbs to try her hand at motherhood - with mixed results".

Longoria recently admitted she missed the cast of Desperate Housewives since the hugely popular show ended its eight-year run in 2012.
