Popera star turned rocker Charlotte Church joins Brendan O'Connor on this week's Saturday Night Show on RTÉ One.

Church reveals her new, darker sound and will talk about growing up in the tabloids, phone hacking and how at 27, and with 10 million albums sold, she has finally found her own voice.

O'Connor will also be joined by 16-year-old Donal Walsh who is terminally ill with cancer. He came to prominence last week when he spoke out about youth suicide. He tells his own moving story and how he hopes a positive message can reach those at risk of suicide.

Dáithí Ó Sé and the reigning Rose of Tralee Nicola McEvoy look forward to this year’s festival and discuss what’s been a busy year for the Rose, which included her meeting US President Barack Obama in the White House.

Commentator and journalist John Waters will also give his views on the state of the nation.

The Saturday Night Show airs on RTÉ One at 9.55pm.
