Iggy Pop and The Stooges are about to release the follow up to The Weirdness, the 2007 album that saw the hugely-influential proto punks reform for their first record since Raw Power, their immortal 1973 masterpiece.

Ready To Die is unleashed on April 26 and finds Iggy, guitarist James Williamson and drummer Scott “Rock Action” Asheton reunited for a full album of all-new material for the first time in 40 years. Mike Watt of The Minutemen and Firehose once again returns on bass.

RTÉ Ten has copped a listen to Ready to Die and we can happily report that Bastille, Mumfords and Ed Sheeran fans may not like it.

The full track listing is: Sex & Money, Job, Gun, Unfriendly World, Ready To Die, DD's, Dirty Deal, Beat That Guy, The Departed.
