James Earl Jones hopes that Star Wars villain Darth Vader will make an appearance in the re-booted movie franchise.

The 82-year-old star, who famously provided the voice of the dark lord in the original trilogy, has said that he would love to reprise his role as Luke's dad in the upcoming movies.

Contact Music quotes Jones as saying: "I would love to be a part of that. David Prowse would return in the costume and I would do the voice for David."

It was recently reported that Harrison Ford has committed to appear as Han Solo in the forthcoming series of Star Wars films which are being produced by Disney.
