Coronation Street stars Michelle Keegan and Chris Fountain have opened up about Tyrone's predicament on the soap.
Tyrone is in jail awaiting trial having been falsely accused of domestic violence by his twisted ex-fiancée Kirsty Soames.
Speaking to RTÉ TEN's Suzanne Byrne, Fountain said: "I feel really bad because Tommy actually introduced him to Kirsty, he actually paid Kirsty to speak to him so I feel horrendous about all this, it’s really not good.
Keegan further pitched in: "We don’t know what’s going to happen to him at the minute, we’ve heard different rumours, what’s going on, how it’s going to come to a conclusion, but at the minute we’re just hoping Tyrone gets away with it."
When asked if Kirsty will get her comeuppance, Keegan replied: “I hope so. She’s too manipulative and she’s too clever. She’s turned everyone against Tyrone, so who knows.”
Fountain added: "Maybe, the thing is though, you never know do you, there have been so many soap villains across the years who’ve got away with it, but you never know. Everyone always seems to get what they deserve."
Suzanne also asked the former on-screen couple if Tommy and Tina would get back together, and Fountain replied: “To be honest, the reaction that we got from the public was that they really liked Tommy and Tina as a couple, because it took them nearly a year and a half to get together or even have their first kiss. So afterwards, we weren’t really together that long and then we’d broken up, so hopefully. We’ll have to see.”
