The Beatles Please Please Me

On the 50th anniversary of the famous 12-hour session at Abbey Road which resulted in the Beatles' iconic album Please Please Me, artists such as Stereophonics, Graham Coxon, Gabrielle Aplin, Joss Stone, Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze, Paul Carrack, Mick Hucknall and I Am Kloot attempt to record the same songs, in the same timescale, in the same studio. The results will be documented in this special one-off show, presented by Stuart Maconie. A real treat for Beatles fans!

From Here to Maternity

In the sixth and final episode of the most recent series of From Here to Maternity we follow the joy and heartbreak faced by more expectant parents. The episode has footage featuring the joy of a new birth tempered with the fear and emotional drama as a new life sometimes hangs in the balance - and all in a day's work for the highly-motivated hospital team. In the last episode, we meet two couples dealing with unpredictable births, while the team faces a series of real life or death decisions. It offers a powerful and gripping insight into the world of the maternity ward, showing that life is never more, exhilarating, joyous, terrifying or unique as when it begins.
