Little Mix have signed an album deal with Columbia Records in the US.

The X Factor girl group, which consists of members Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Jesy Nelson, will release Wings as their debut single in America later this year.

Thirlwall told Twist magazine: "We want to show everybody what we're about and bring out our first single over here.

"Wings is the perfect introduction to Little Mix and what we're all about, so we can't wait to show it to everybody in America!"

Nelson added: "We wanted our first single to be a song that meant something to us, but also meant a lot to our fans.

"We wanted an uplifting message about believing in yourself, listening to what your mum says (because she's always right!) and just not letting any negativity bring you down."
