Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence are in talks to star in and produce a new TV comedy.
According to Deadline, the Frasier star and Bad Boys actor would take on lead roles in the "odd couple" sitcom.
The Lionsgate TV project is expected to begin hiring writers and meeting with potential showrunners shortly, to pin down a concept for the buddy series.
The sitcom idea was reportedly inspired by a meeting between Lionsgate, Grammer and Lawrence in November, during which the two actors displayed "great chemistry".
The series would mark a return to sitcoms for Grammer, who is best known for his 20-year stint playing psychiatrist Frasier Crane in Cheers and its hit spinoff Frasier.
