Dublin musician Glen Hansard is guest-starring as himself on an upcoming episode of the hit NBC drama Parenthood.

The Oscar-winning singer/songwriter and star of Once will use the show’s fictitious Luncheonette recording studio – run by Adam (Peter Krause) and Crosby (Dax Shepard) - to record a few tracks.

Hansard, who is a member of The Frames and The Swell Season, sings two songs in the season four episode, which is entitled Trouble in Candyland and airs in the US in December.

The highly-acclaimed Parenthood recently finished its third season on RTÉ Two.
