Aston Merrygold has said that he is keen to launch a US TV career after impressing as a judge on UK TV show Got To Dance.

The JLS singer is believed to have lined up a number of meetings with executives in the U.S without his bandmates, Marvin Humes, JB Gill and Oritse Williams, in the hopes of launching his solo career.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper a source said: ''The boys started off doing bits and pieces for the music TV stations and all really enjoyed it".

''They're all naturals in front of the camera and Aston's impressed a lot of people as a judge on Got To Dance. Management execs in the States believe he could be a star there in his own right".

''He's had a couple of meetings already and people are putting out feelers for him.''

However, the source insisted that Aston has no plans to leave the band, adding: "In the meantime, Aston remains very happy with the rest of the boys and he has no intention of quitting the band at all. Singing remains his first love.''
