What Richard Did, the new film from Garage and Adam & Paul director Lenny Abrahamson, has been selected for the BFI London Film Festival next month.

Commenting, director Abrahamson said: "I'm delighted to have been invited to screen What Richard Did at this year's London Film Festival. I discovered with my last film that the LFF is a real filmmakers' festival which attracts great audiences so I'm really looking forward to it."

Adapted from Kevin Power's novel Bad Day in Blackrock, written by Malcolm Campbell (Skins, Shameless) and starring Jack Reynor, Sam Keeley, Róisín Murphy, Lorraine Pilkington and Lars Mikkelsen, What Richard Did tells the story of Richard Karlsen, a Dublin school leaver with the world at his feet who "does something that destroys it all and shatters the lives of the people closest to him".
