Bell X1’s Paul Noonan and David Geraghty reveal to RTÉ Ten that they have 16 tracks penned for a new album.

Ahead of their performance at Electric Picnic on Saturday Paul Noonan and David Geraghty from Bell X1 spoke to RTÉ Ten's Alan Corr and revealed that they have 16 tracks penned for their next album.

David said: “This year we’ve been writing separately and in the last few months we have got together in a little homemade studio and we have been very productive. We’ve demoed 16 new tunes for another album so we are feeling very happy and excited about that.”

They are known as one of the hardest working bands in Ireland and have played all over the country. Paul told Alan that he loves playing festivals as he feels like it is a chance for all their fans to come together.

Paul said: “At festivals there is a sense that people who have seen us all over Ireland are gathered together in one field."

Paul also noted that while Bell X1 haven’t played live as much as they usually do this year, they will be touring from the end of this month and can’t wait to get back on the road.

He said: “We haven’t been on tour this year and we are going away at the end of September and I am really looking forward to it. I have really missed it.”
