One Direction have announced details of their new single, Live While We're Young, which will be released next month.

The single is released on September 28 and is described as "an immediate, energy packed song mixing rock undertones".

Live While We're Young is taken from the group's upcoming second album, which will be released in November.

For the album the quintet have reunited with Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk and Savan Kotecha (One Thing and What Makes You Beautiful), Ed Sheeran and McFly's Tom Fletcher, with new writing and production collaborators including Dr Luke (Katy Perry's Teenage Dream, Taio Cruz' Dynamite), Shellback (Maroon 5's Moves Like Jagger) and Toby Gad (Beyoncé's If I Were a Boy).
