Kim Kardashian has revealed that she is glad she had the courage to walk away from her marriage to Kris Humphries after 72 days.

The reality TV star said that the decision to end her relationship with the bastketball player was difficult because of the public scrutiny.

She told Now magazine: "I think most people in that situation would have stayed, not wanting to face the embarrassment.

"But when you know it's not right, it's better to go sooner rather than wait. So I'm glad to have had the courage to walk away.

"I've learnt from those experiences, and I'm in a good place now."

Kardashian split from Humphries less than three months after a lavish televised wedding in August 2011.

She is now dating rapper Kanye West, and has recently signed a new deal with E! to make future seasons of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
