Kelly Rowland has been cast in a new BET comedy pilot, it has been reported.

The programme will be called What Would Dylan Do and will star Rowland in the title role, website Shadow & Act reports.

The comedy will focus on Dylan, a struggling relationship blogger from Los Angeles who considers rekindling her romance with her ex-fiancé.

The show will be produced by The Bernie Mac Show creator Warren Hutcherson and will also feature Grey's Anatomy star Brandon Scott and The Game actress Gabrielle Dennis in supporting roles.

The pilot episode will begin filming soon, although the show has yet to be officially picked up by BET.
