Joseph Gordon-Levitt has said that he wouldn't rule out starring in a possible sequel to The Dark Knight Rises.
The actor played young police officer John Blake in the Christopher Nolan-directed movie alongside Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Marion Cotillard.
Though Nolan has no plans to continue with the franchise after making three Batman movies, Gordon-Levitt told The Hollywood Reporter he would be open to reprising his role as long as the movie had "a great script and a great filmmaker."
Speaking about the franchise on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week, Gordon-Levitt said: "I don't think [the ending of The Dark Knight Rises] is necessarily a set-up. I think it is the great ending for that trilogy.
"Even if you go back to Batman Begins, he's talking about how Batman is more than a man, it's a symbol, and a hero can be anybody and we all have heroes inside of us."
The actor will next be seen in the action thriller Premium Rush opposite Michael Shannon.
