Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to take a leading role in Blood, Bones and Butter.

The Oscar winning actress is said to be in negotiations to play the part of restaurateur Gabrielle Hamilton in the film, which is an adaptation of her memoir of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The New York Times bestseller states that the book "follows an unconventional journey through the many kitchens Hamilton has inhabited through the years."

It also documents her extensive travelling experiences, along with the lead up to her eventual ownership of New York restaurant Prune.

Rodrigo Teixeira is producing the project with Anne Carey and Mindy Goldberg.

Paltrow is currently filming Iron Man 3.
